OUR HISTORY

Located in Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina, Champions Victory Church (CVC) was founded by Dr. Okoji and Dr. Bose Ndukwe. For fifteen years, CVC has been providing simple practical teaching and understanding of the Bible, with praise and worship devotion unto the Lord that is second to none. This simple approach has caused the ministry to experience exponential and phenomenal growth and success.

The vision was revealed to Dr. Okoji Ndukwe on an early Saturday morning in November 2003. Dr. Ndukwe was at Wake Medical Center, where he worked as a full time registered nurse. He began to feel the presence of God in an unusually overwhelming manner. The power of God was so strong that Dr. Ndukwe began to weep uncontrollably. In that instance, the revelation of Champions Victory Church was given. Filled with an unquenchable passion, Dr. Ndukwe contacted the Secretary of State and registered the church’s name; while he and his wife fasted and prayed during an entire year for the manifestation of the vision.

On March 6th 2005, the vision was made manifest, as Champions Victory Church was born at Best Western Inn & Suites in Raleigh with about 10 members. Within nine months, the hotel meeting room could no longer hold the growing congregation. The ministry began its search for a new location, and signed a three-year lease, relocating to 4701 Atlantic Avenue, Raleigh NC, in February 2006.  The ministry continued to grow at a rapid pace until the fourteen hundred square feet location could no longer accommodate the membership. The church moved to a new location after 11 months, to a seven thousand square feet building at 2660 Yonkers road, Raleigh NC in February 2007.  The church made this location its home until April 16, 2011, when a deadly tornado went through Raleigh and destroyed the rented building.  Yet, the kingdom of God cannot be stopped; “From the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force” Matthew 11:12.  The church moved to Clarion Hotel in downtown Raleigh where it was until August 2011, when CVC moved to its present location, The Ezra Conference Center.

After the tornado episode, the ministry embarked upon a tremendous journey of faith, deciding to buy a land for the church without utilizing bank financing or loans of any kind.  Seven months later, CVC bought four acres of land at 3700 Forestville Road Raleigh, NC, that was paid for DEBT FREE.

In the last fourteen years, with dynamic ministries such as Men’s, Women’s, Children’s, Singles, Young Adults, Youth, Worship Team, Drama, Hospitality, Evangelism, Outreach, Media and Prayer warriors, Champions Victory continues to prayerfully save souls, courageously spread the gospel, and strongly foster outreach programs within the Raleigh community.  Furthermore, the borders of the United States of America do not restrict the impact of this ministry. CVC has established two branches of this ministry in Aba and Onitsha, both in Nigeria, and by the grace of God, will reach the six continents of the world.

Reaping souls from every culture, every tribe, every tongue and every nation is what we do!
